Sweety Shetty, also known by her stage name Anushka Shetty, is an Indian actress who mainly works in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. She has appeared in over 50 films in various roles. She made her film acting debut with the Telugu film Super in 2005, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Sonu Sood. She debuted in Tamil with the movie Rendu in 2006, starring Madhavan.

The Government of Tamil Nadu honored Anushka Shetty with Kalaimamani in 2010. Her notable movies are Vikramarkudu (2006), Lakshyam (2007), Souryam (2008), Chintakayala Ravi (2008), Arundhati (2009), Vettaikaaran (2009), Vedam (2010), Singam (2010), Vaanam (2011), Deiva Thirumagal (2011), Singam II (2013), Yennai Arindhaal (2015), Size Zero (2015), Rudhramadevi (2015), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017).

She was born on 07 November 1981 (age 44 years) to A.N. Vittal Shetty and Prafulla Shetty in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. She has two brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty and Sai Ramesh Shetty. She did a Bachelor of Computer Applications from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru, Karnataka. She was also a yoga instructor, trained under Bharat Thakur.
