Sujith Shanker is an Indian actor who works in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi film industries. He is the grandson of the former Chief Minister of Kerala, E. M. S. Namboodiripad. He debuted his movie acting with the Hindi movie Laadli Laila in 2009. He also performed at the UNESCO International Theater Festival in Peru in 2010. He made his Malayalam movie debut with the movie Njan Steve Lopez in 2014. He got his breakthrough with Dileesh Pothan’s Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016). His Tamil movie debut is Nerkonda Paarvai, released in 2019.
He is well known for his roles in Ezra (2017), C/O Saira Banu (2017), CIA: Comrade in America (2017), Hadiyya (2017), Oru Kuprasidha Payyan (2018), Moothon (2019), RDX: Robert Dony Xavier (2023), and Turkish Tharkkam (2024).
He was born in Kerala, India. His mother, Dr. M. P. Yamuna, was a gynecologist, and his father, E. M. Sreedharan, was a chartered accountant and politician. His brother, Ameet Parameswaran, is Asst. Professor, Dept. of Arts and Aesthetics at Jawaharlal Nehru University. He completed his PhD in Theatre from the University of Hyderabad. He is married to Anju Mohandas, a filmmaker.
