Saurabh Shukla is an Indian actor, screenwriter, and film director who mainly works in the Hindi film industry. He also appeared in a few Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English films. He started his career in theatre in 1986 with roles in plays like A View From The Bridge (Arthur Miller), Look Back in Anger (John Osborne), Ghashiram Kotwal (Vijay Tendulkar), and Hayvadan. He made his film acting debut with the Hindi movie Bandit Queen (1994). He debuted in Tamil with the movie Hey Ram (2000), starring Kamal Haasan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Saurabh Shukla debuted in Telugu with the movie Balu (2005), starring Pawan Kalyan. He debuted in Kannada with the movie Care of Footpath (2006) and in English with the movie Slumdog Millionaire (2008). He is well known for his roles in Satya (1998), Nayak: The Real Hero (2001), Yuva (2004), Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), Barfi! (2012), Jolly LLB (2013), Kick (2014), PK (2014), Jolly LLB 2 (2017), and Raid (2018). He also appeared in the TV series The Verdict – State vs Nanavati (2019), Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein (2022), Pop Kaun? (2023), and Bindiya Ke Bahubali (2025).

He was born on 05 March 1963 (age 63 years) in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to Shatrughan Shukla, a vocalist, and Jogamaya Shukla, who was the first female tabla player of India. He did his schooling at Ludlow Castle No.3, Delhi. He graduated from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Delhi. He married writer Barnali Ray Shukla.
