Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is an Indian classical dancer and actress who mainly works in the Malayalam film industry. She also appeared in a few Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. She made her film acting debut with the Malayalam movie Arayannangalude Veedu (2000), alongside Mammootty, which won her the Kerala State Film Award for the best supporting actor. In 2004, she debuted in Kannada with the movie Poorvapara and in Tamil with the movie Kanavu Meippada Vendum.

She won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in her Kannada film Vidaya (2015). She debuted in Hindi with the movie Karbonn in 2015. She was a judge on Asianet’s dance show Vodafone Thakadhimi. She made her debut in Telugu with the movie Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava in 2018, starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Pooja Hegde.

She was born on 07 January 1970 (age 56 years) in a Kannada family to M. K. Gopalaswamy and Dr. Uma Gopalaswamy in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She has a younger brother, Arjun Gopalaswamy. She graduated in Bharatanatyam.
