Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr., popularly known as NTR Jr. (N T Rama Rao Jr, Jr. NTR), is an Indian television host, film producer, and actor in Telugu films. He is the grandson of Indian matinee idol and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. He also appeared in a Hindi movie. He made his film acting debut in the 1991 Telugu movie Brahmarshi Viswamitra as a child artist. He made his debut as a lead actor with the Telugu movie Ninnu Choodalani in 2001. He got Filmfare Awards South, CineMAA Awards, SIIMA Award, IIFA Award, and Nandi Awards.

N T Rama Rao Jr starred in the Telugu movie RRR (2022), which became a global phenomenon, earning him Pan-India fame and international recognition, including a nomination for Best Actor in an Action Movie at the Critics’ Choice Super Awards. He debuted in Hindi with the movie War 2 in 2025, starring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.

N T Rama Rao Jr is well known for his roles in Student No: 1 (2001), Aadi (2002), Simhadri (2003), Rakhi (2006), Yamadonga (2007), Adhurs (2010), Brindavanam (2010), Baadshah (2013), Temper (2015), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Janatha Garage (2016), Jai Lava Kusa (2017), Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018), and Devara: Part 1 (2024). He also hosted the first season of the Telugu-language reality TV show Bigg Boss (2017) and the fifth season of Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu (2021).

He was born on 20 May 1983 (age 42 years) to film actor and politician, Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Shalini Bhaskar Rao in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. N T Rama Rao Jr is the half-brother of actor and producer Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. He studied at Vidyaranya High School, Hyderabad, and St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad. He married Lakshmi Pranathi, the daughter of realtor and businessman Narne Srinivasa Rao. The couple has two sons, Nandamuri Abhay Ram and Nandamuri Bhargav Ram.
