Pooja Hegde is an Indian actress who works in the Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil film industries. She is the second runner-up at the 2010 Miss Universe India pageant. She made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Mugamoodi in 2012. She debuted in Telugu with the movie Oka Laila Kosam in 2014. She debuted in Hindi with the movie Mohenjo Daro in 2016. Pooja Hegde won the SIIMA Award for Best Actress Telugu for her performance in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) and Most Eligible Bachelor (2021). She is well known for her roles in Duvvada Jagannadham (2017), Maharshi (2019), Gaddalakonda Ganesh (2019), and Housefull 4 (2019).

She was born on 13 October 1990 (age 35 years) in a Tulu family in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her father, Manjunath Hegde, is a criminal lawyer, and her mother, Latha Hegde, is an Immunologist and entrepreneur. They are originally from Udupi, Karnataka. Her elder brother, Rishabh Hegde, is an orthopaedic surgeon. She studied at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce from Smt. M.M.K College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
