Kaali Venkat is an Indian actor who mainly works in the Tamil film and television industry. He worked in theater before heading into film. Vijay Prabhakaran’s Thasaiyinai Thee Sudinum was the first movie in which Venkat acted. The film failed to release, but he decided to keep his character name in it, Kaali, as his screen name after everybody on the set was calling him by that name.

He won the SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actor, Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award for Best Supporting Actor, and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Tamil for the Tamil movie Gargi (2022), starring Sai Pallavi. He debuted in Hindi with the movie Baby John in 2024, starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi. He also appeared in the Tamil TV series Vella Raja (2018), Thiravam (2019), Paper Rocket (2022), and Parachute (2024).

He was born on 16 November 1982 (age 43 years) in Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India. He married Janani on 30 October 2017 in Chennai and has a son.
