Amar Choudary, known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian film producer and actor who mainly works in Tamil films and a few Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu films. He is the son of film producer R. B. Choudary. He began his career as a child actor with the Tamil movie Perum Pulli in 1991. He made his debut as a lead actor with the Tamil movie Aasai Aasaiyai in 2003. He is the second Tamil actor to win an award at the Cyprus International Film Festival, after Sivaji Ganesan. He won for his role in Raam (2005).

He debuted in Malayalam with the movie Keerthi Chakra in 2006, starring Mohanlal. He is well known for his roles in E (2006), Katradhu Tamizh (2007), Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009), Ko (2011), Nanban (2012), Mugamoodi (2012), Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012), Endrendrum Punnagai (2013), Kalakalappu 2 (2018), and Kalathil Santhippom (2021). He debuted in Hindi with the movie 83 in 2021, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Pankaj Tripathi. He debuted in Telugu with the movie Yatra 2 in 2024, starring Mammootty.

He was born on 04 January 1984 (age 42 years) to film producer R. B. Choudary and Mahjabeen in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the youngest of four boys; his brothers are Suresh Choudary (co-producer in their home banner, Super Good Films), Jeevan Choudary (entrepreneur of a steel company), and Jithan Ramesh (actor and producer). He married Supriya in 2007.
