Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani, also known as Ranveer Singh, is an Indian actor who works in the Hindi film industry. He made his film acting debut with the 2010 Hindi movie Band Baaja Baaraat, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Off-screen, he is known for his flamboyant sense of style. He is well known for his roles in Lootera (2013), Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018), Simmba (2018), Gully Boy (2019), 83 (2021), and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023).

He was born on 06 July 1985 (age 40 years) into a Sindhi family to Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His grandparents moved to Bombay from Karachi, Sindh, during the Partition of India. He studied at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington, Bloomington, Indiana. He married actress Deepika Padukone in 2018. Their daughter Dua Padukone Singh was born on 08 September 2024.
