Abhishek Amitabh Bachchan, also known as Abhishek Bachchan, is an Indian film producer and actor who works in the Hindi film industry. He is the son of actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He made his film acting debut with the Hindi movie Refugee in 2000. Then he appeared in the films Dhoom (2004), Yuva (2004), Sarkar (2005), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Dus (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), Bol Bachchan (2012), Dhoom 3 (2013), Happy New Year (2014), Housefull 3 (2016), Ludo (2020), Dasvi (2022), Ghoomer (2023) and I Want to Talk (2024).

Abhishek Bachchan also appeared in the TV series Breathe: Into the Shadows (2020–2022). Along with his four Filmfare Awards, Bachchan’s production of the comedy-drama Paa (2009) earned him the National Film Award for Best Hindi Feature Film.

He was born on 05 February 1976 (age 50 years) to actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He has a sister, Shweta Bachchan. His grandfather, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a noted poet of the Nayi Kavita Literary Movement of Hindi literature and a professor at Allahabad University in Uttar Pradesh, while his grandmother, Teji Bachchan, was a social activist. He studied at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai, Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai, Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, and Aiglon College, Switzerland.

Abhishek Bachchan then attended Boston University but left before completing his degree to support his family during the bankruptcy of ABCL. He subsequently moved on to Bollywood. He was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 9. He married actress Aishwarya Rai on 20 April 2007. The couple has a daughter, Aaradhya, born on 16 November 2011.
