Vijay Singh Deol, better known by his screen name Bobby Deol, is an Indian actor who mainly works in Hindi films and TV series. He also appeared in a few Tamil and Telugu films. He is a member of the Deol family, the younger son of actor Dharmendra and the younger brother of actor Sunny Deol. He made his film acting debut as a child artist with the Hindi movie Dharam Veer in 1977. He had his first lead role with the movie Barsaat (1995), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.

Bobby Deol is well known for his roles in Gupt (1997), Soldier (1998), Badal (2000), Bichhoo (2000), Ajnabee (2001), Humraaz (2002), Apne (2007), Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), Race 3 (2018), Housefull 4 (2019), Class of ’83 (2020), and Love Hostel (2022). Bobby Deol gained further acclaim for playing a villain in the top-grossing action film Animal (2023), which earned him a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He debuted in Tamil with the movie Kanguva in 2024, starring Suriya. He debuted in Telugu with the movie Daaku Maharaaj in 2025. Bobby Deol also appeared in the TV series Aashram (2020–present), Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives (2022), and The Ba***ds of Bollywood (2025).

He was born on 27 January 1969 (age 57 years) into a Punjabi Jat family to actor Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is the younger brother of Sunny Deol and also has two sisters, Vijayta and Ajeeta. His stepmother is Hema Malini, through whom he has two paternal half-sisters, actress Esha Deol, and Ahana Deol. His cousin Abhay Deol is also an actor. He is the paternal uncle of Bollywood actors Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol. He studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, Rajasthan. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mithibai College, Mumbai. He married Tanya Ahuja in 1996. The couple has two sons, Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol.
