Atharvaa Murali (Vijay Murali) also known as Atharvaa is an Indian actor who mainly works in Tamil films and a few Telugu films. He is the son of actor Murali and grandson of director S. Siddalingaiah. He made his acting debut with the Tamil movie Baana Kaathadi in 2010, for which he won the Edison Award for Best Male Debutant. He debuted in Telugu with the movie Gaddalakonda Ganesh in 2019.

He won the Filmfare Awards South for Best Actor – Tamil and more awards for his film Paradesi (2013). He is well known for his roles in Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012), Eetti (2015), Kanithan (2016), Imaikkaa Nodigal (2018), 100 (2019), and Othaikku Oththa (2022). He also appeared in the TV series Navarasa (2021) on Netflix and Mathagam (2023) on Disney+Hotstar.

He was born on 07 May 1989 (age 37 years) to actor Murali and Shobha in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has a sister, Kavya, and a brother, Akash Murali, an actor. He studied at St. Michael’s Academy, Chennai. He did his Bachelor of Engineering from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
