Ravi Mohan, better known by his former stage name Jayam Ravi, is an Indian actor who mainly works in the Tamil film industry. He is the son of veteran film editor A. Mohan. He made his lead acting debut with the Tamil movie Jayam in 2003. Then, he changed his former stage name to Jayam Ravi until 2025. He has won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, Filmfare Award South, and SIIMA Awards. He is well known for his roles in M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004), Unakkum Enakkum (2006), Santhosh Subramaniam (2008), Peranmai (2009), Thani Oruvan (2015), Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022), and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023).

He was born on 10 September 1980 (age 45 years) to Editor Mohan and Varalakshmi Mohan in Tirumangalam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Ravi Mohan has a brother, Mohan Raja, who is a film director, and a sister, Roja, who is a dentist. He attended school at Jawahar Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar, Chennai. He completed his degree in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai. He trained in acting at Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute, Mumbai. He married Aarthi, daughter of film producer Sujatha Vijayakumar, in 2009. They have two sons, Aarav and Ayaan. The couple separated in 2024. In the same year, he changed his name to his real name, Ravi Mohan.
