Sathyapriya Bhavani Shankar, aka Priya Bhavani Shankar, is an Indian actress and television host who predominantly works in Tamil and a few Telugu movies. She started her career as a news presenter in Puthiya Thalaimurai. She made her debut acting with the Tamil TV serial Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai in 2014 on Vijay TV, for which she won the Vijay Television Awards for Best Find of the Year. She made her film acting debut in the 2017 commercially successful Tamil film Meyaadha Maan.

She debuted in Telugu with the movie Kalyanam Kamaneeyam in 2023. She has acted in popular movies like Kadaikutty Singam (2018), Monster (2019), Mafia: Chapter 1 (2020), Yaanai (2022), Thiruchitrambalam (2022), and Pathu Thala (2023).

She was born on 31 December 1989 (age 36 years) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father’s name is Bhavani Shankar, and her mother is Thangam Bhavani Shankar. Priya Bhavani Shankar has a brother named Shiv Shankar. She did her schooling at SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her Bachelor of Technology from B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology, Tamil Nadu, India.
