Janani Iyer also known as Janani is an Indian actress who works in the Tamil and Malayalam film Industries. She made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Avan Ivan in 2011. She came to the Malayalam film industry with the movie 3 Dots in 2013. She is well known for her roles in Thegidi (2014) and 7th Day (2014). She is the 3rd runner up of the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2 in 2018.

She was born on 31 March 1987 (age 37 years) in Kathivakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She did her schooling at DAV Girls Senior Secondary School, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She completes her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In 2014, she dropped Iyer from her name due to caste reasons.
