Catherine Tresa Alexander, also known as Catherine Tresa, is an Indian model and actress who mainly works in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She also appears in a few Kannada and Malayalam films. In 2010, she made her film acting debut with the Kannada movie Shankar IPS and debuted in Malayalam with the movie The Thriller, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Siddique.

She debuted in Telugu with the movie Chammak Challo in 2013. She debuted in Tamil with the movie Madras in 2014, for which she won the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards for Best Debut Actress, Vijay Awards for Best Debut Actress, Edison Awards for Best Debut Actress, 62nd Filmfare Awards South for Best Female Debut – Tamil, and 4th South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Female Debut – Tamil.

She was born on 10 September 1989 (age 36 years) to Malayali parents, Frank Mario Alexander and Tresa Alexander, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
