Aditi Rao Hydari is an Indian actress who works in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries. She made her film acting debut with the Malayalam movie Prajapathi in 2006, starring Mammootty and Siddique. She debuted in Tamil with the movie Sringaram in 2007, starring Manoj K. Jayan. She made her debut in Hindi with the 2009 film Delhi 6, starring Abhishek Bachchan.
Aditi Rao Hydari’s roles in Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011) and Delhi-6 (2009) brought her early recognition. Her first leading role was the Hindi movie Murder 3 (2013). She debuted in Telugu with the movie Sammohanam in 2018, for which she won the Zee Cine Awards Telugu for Best Debut Actor – Female. She also appeared in the TV series Ajeeb Daastaans (2021), Jubilee (2023), and Heeramandi (2024).
She was born on 28 October 1986 (age 39 years) in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, to Ahsan Hydari, an engineer, and Vidya Rao, a classical singer trained in the thumri and dadra traditions of Hindustani music. Her paternal grandfather, Akbar Hydari, served as the Prime Minister of Hyderabad, and her grand-uncle, Muhammad Saleh Akbar Hydari, was the Governor of Assam. She did her schooling at Rishi Valley School, Andhra Pradesh. She completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. She married actor Satyadeep Mishra in 2007. The couple divorced in 2013. She married actor Siddharth on 16 September 2024.
