Konidela Ram Charan, also known as Ram Charan, is an Indian producer and actor who works in the Telugu film industry. He is the son of actor Chiranjeevi. He is a family member of the Telugu cinema family Konidela–Allu. He made his acting debut with the Telugu movie Chirutha in 2007, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. Then he appeared in S. S. Rajamouli’s fantasy action film Magadheera (2009), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.

In 2016, he launched his own production house, Konidela Production Company, with the debut production Khaidi No. 150 (2017). He is well known for his roles in Orange (2010), Racha (2012), Naayak (2013), Yevadu (2014), Govindudu Andarivadele (2014), Dhruva (2016), Rangasthalam (2018), and RRR (2022).

He was born on 27 March 1985 (age 41 years) to actor Chiranjeevi and Surekha in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His family hails from Mogalthur and Palakollu in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. His maternal grandfather was the noted comic actor Allu Ramalingaiah. He has two sisters, Sushmitha and Sreeja. He studied at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai, Lawrence School, Lovedale, The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, and St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad. He also studied at Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute, Mumbai. He has an honorary doctorate from Vels University, Chennai. He married Upasana Kamineni, Apollo Charity’s vice-chairman and Chief Editor of B Positive magazine.
