Prashanth Thiagarajan, known professionally as Prashanth, is an Indian businessman, playback singer, film producer, and actor who mainly works in Tamil films and a few Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam films. He is the son of actor and director Thiagarajan. He made his film acting debut with the Tamil movie Vaigasi Poranthachu in 1990. He has won a Kalaimamani Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. He debuted in Malayalam with the movie Perumthachan in 1991. In 1992, he debuted in Hindi with the movie I Love You and in Telugu with the movie Prema Sikharam.

He also appeared in the movies Vanna Vanna Pookkal (1992), Chembaruthi (1992), Thiruda Thiruda (1993), Jeans (1998), Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998), Kaadhal Kavithai (1998), Jodi (1999), Parthen Rasithen (2000), Chocolate (2001), Majunu (2001), Thamizh (2002), Virumbugiren (2002), Winner (2003), Shock (2004), London (2005), Andhagan (2024), and The Greatest of All Time (2024). He owns a multi-storeyed jewelry mart in Panagal Park.

He was born on 06 April 1973 (age 53 years) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, to actor and director Thiagarajan and Shanthi, the daughter of Telugu actor and filmmaker Peketi Sivaram. Actor Vikram is his maternal cousin. He is also a trained pianist. He married Grahalakshmi on 01 September 2005. They have a son born in 2006. The couple divorced in 2009.
