Maqbool Salmaan is an Indian actor who works mainly in Malayalam and a few Tamil films. He is the son of television actor Ibrahimkutty and the nephew of actor Mammooty. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam movie Asuravithu in 2012. Later, he starred in the lead role of Matinee (2012), the debut film directed by Aneesh Upasana. His first movie in Tamil was Un Kadhal Irundhal in 2020. He also appears in Parayan Baaki Vechathu (2014), Appuram Bengal Ippuram Thiruvithamkoor (2016), Masterpiece (2017), Maffi Dona (2019), and Gumasthan (2024).

He was born in 1987 (age 39 years) in Vaikom, Kottayam, Kerala, India, to actor Ibrahim Kutty and Sameena Ebrahimkutty. He has a sister named Tania Amjith. He studied at Labour India Gurukulam Public School, Marangattupilly, Kerala. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from Oxford College, Bangalore. In 2017, he married Almaz Firoz.
