Pankaj Tripathi is an Indian actor who mainly works in the Hindi entertainment industry and a few Tamil movies. He got several awards, including two National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. After attending the National School of Drama to study acting, he went on to play supporting roles in the television series Powder in 2010 and had small appearances in the movies Omkara (2006), Raavan (2010), and Agneepath (2012). He made his Tamil movie debut with the movie Kaala in 2018.

He was born on 05 September 1976 (age 49 years) to Pandit Benaras Tripathi and Hemanti Devi in Belsand, Sitamarhi, Bihar, India. He did his schooling at D.P.H School, Gopalganj, Bihar, and then he went to the Institute of Hotel Management, Hajipur, Bihar. He graduated in Drama from the National School of Drama, New Delhi. He was married to Mridula on January 15, 2004, after meeting her during a wedding ceremony in 1993 while they were both attending college. After being married, they relocated to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where they raised their daughter Aashi Tripathi in 2006.
