Rana Daggubati

Ramanaidu Daggubati, also known as Rana Daggubati, is an Indian actor, film producer, and entrepreneur who primarily works in the Telugu film industry. He also appeared in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. He is the son of film producer D. Suresh Babu. He made his film acting debut with the Telugu movie Leader in 2010, for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He debuted in Hindi with the movie Dum Maaro Dum in 2011, where he received positive reviews for his performance and won the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut.

Rana Daggubati became well-known after acting in the popular Telugu movie Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum (2012). He debuted in Tamil with a Cameo role in the 2013 movie Arrambam, starring Ajith Kumar, Arya, and Nayanthara. He later starred as Bhallaladeva, the main antagonist in the Telugu film Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017).

Rana Daggubati starred in successful films such as Rudramadevi (2015), Ghazi (2017), and Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017). As a visual effects producer, he won the State Nandi Award for Best Special Effects in 2006 for the Telugu film Sainikudu. Additionally, he is a well-known television personality who hosts award shows, including the South Indian International Movie Awards and the 2nd IIFA Utsavam. The Rana Daggubati Show and No. 1 Yaari with Rana (2017–2021) were two more chat shows he presented.

He was born on 14 December 1984 (age 41 years) in a Telugu family to film producer Daggubati Suresh Babu and Lakshmi Daggubati in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Rana Daggubati has a brother, Abhiram Daggubati, and a sister, Malavika Daggubati. A member of the Daggubati–Akkineni family, his paternal uncle Venkatesh and his cousin Naga Chaitanya are also actors. He studied at Chettinad Vidyashram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu; Nalanda Vidya Bhavan High School, Hyderabad, Telangana; and The Hyderabad Public School, Hyderabad, Telangana. He did his higher studies at St. Mary’s College, Hyderabad. He holds a degree in Industrial Photography. He married his girlfriend, Miheeka Bajaj, founder of Dew Drop Design Studio, on 08 August 2020.
