John Abraham

John Abraham is an Indian actor and film producer who works in the Hindi film industry. He made his film acting debut with the 2003 Hindi movie Jism. He is known for his stoic action hero persona and is a recipient of a National Film Award, along with nominations for four Filmfare Awards. John Abraham is well known for his roles in Dhoom (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Water (2005), Kabul Express (2006), Taxi No. 9211 (2006), Dostana (2008), New York (2009), Housefull 2 (2012), Race 2 (2013), Shootout at Wadala (2013), Madras Cafe (2013), Welcome Back (2015), Dishoom (2016), Parmanu (2018), Satyameva Jayate (2018), Batla House (2019), and Pathaan (2023).

John Abraham ventured into film production under his banner J.A. Entertainment with Vicky Donor (2012), which won him the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. He is the co-owner of the Indian Super League football team NorthEast United FC. He is also a vegetarian and is an advocate for animal rights.

He was born on 17 December 1972 (age 53 years) to Abraham John and Firoza Irani in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father is a Malayali Syrian Christian from Kerala, and his mother is an Irani Zoroastrian. He has a younger brother named Alan Abraham. He studied at Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. He did his higher studies at Jai Hind College, Mumbai, University of Mumbai, Mumbai, and NMIMS, Mumbai. He is married to Priya Runchal, an Indian-American financial analyst and investment banker, on 03 January 2014. She is also the chairperson of NorthEast United FC.
