Yami Gautam Dhar, also known as Yami Gautam, is an Indian model and actress who mainly appears in the Hindi entertainment industry and a few Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil films. She is the daughter of Punjabi film director Mukesh Gautam. She began her career as a model. She made her acting debut with television soap operas such as Chand Ke Paar Chalo (2008–2009) and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam (2009–2010). She made her Kannada movie debut with the movie Ullasa Utsaha in 2010.

In 2011, she debuted in Punjabi with the movie Ek Noor and in Telugu with Nuvvila. She debuted in Hindi with the film Vicky Donor in 2012, for which she won the Gold Awards for Rising Film Stars From TV, BIG Star Entertainment Awards for Most Entertaining Actor (Film) Debut – Female, Zee Cine Awards for Best Female Debut, and International Indian Film Academy Awards for Star Debut of the Year – Female. She debuted in a Malayalam movie, Hero, in the same year, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Srikanth. She debuted in Tamil with the movie Gouravam in 2013.

She was born on 28 November 1988 (age 37 years) to the director Mukesh Gautam and Anjali Gautam in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, India. She has a younger sister, Surilie Gautam, who is an actress, and a younger brother, Ojas Gautam. She did her schooling at Yadavindra Public School, Chandigarh. Then she did her higher studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh. She married Aditya Dhar on 4 June 2021. After marriage, she changed her name to Yami Gautam Dhar. The couple had their first child, a boy named Vedavid, born on 10 May 2024.
