Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is an Indian actress who performs in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu movies as well. She made her acting debut in the 2012 Tamil film Podaa Podi. In 2014 she made her debut in the Kannada movie, Maanikya. Kasaba was her debut Malayalam movie in 2016. In the Telugu movie industry, she made her debut in Tenali Ramakrishna BA. BL in 2019.

She was born on 05 March 1985 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India to actor Sarathkumar and Chaya. Her stepmother is actress Raadhika. She attended St. Michael’s Academy in Chennai for her education. With a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Edinburgh, she has a degree in microbiology from Hindustan Arts and Science College in Chennai. Before she started performing professionally, she refined her acting abilities at Anupam Kher’s performing School in Mumbai.
