Vijayalakshmi Agathiyan

Vijayalakshmi Agathiyan aka Vijayalakshmi Feroz is an Indian actress who has primarily appeared in Tamil movies. She made her acting debut as a timid girl in Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028 in 2007. After playing a few more lead roles, she moved towards producing films and television serials. In 2021, she also took part in and eventually won the reality show Survivor Tamil. Before being asked to appear in an acting part in Venkat Prabhu’s directorial debut, Chennai 600028 (2007), she began her career in the entertainment industry by anchoring the program “Hello Tamizha” on the STAR Vijay channel.

She was born on 01 July 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the daughter of Agathiyan, a Tamil romantic film director best known for Kadhal Kottai (1996), Gokulathil Seethai (1996), and Kaadhal Kavithai (1998), among other films from the 1990s. Radha, a homemaker, and her mother passed away in 2016. Kani Thiru and Niranjini, two of her sisters, work in the entertainment industry. While her husband Thiru directs movies, Kani Thiru is a television host. Niranjini is a costume designer who made her acting debut in the 2020 film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. In September 2015, she wed Feroz Mohammed, a former classmate. The couple gave birth to a baby in May 2017, and Feroz later went on to become a film director with the release of Pandigai in 2017.
