Nagaraju Shiva Puttaswamy, also known as Shiva Rajkumar (Dr Shiva Rajkumar), is an Indian actor, film producer, and television presenter who predominantly works in the Kannada film industry. He also works in a few Tamil and Telugu films. He is the eldest son of the actor Dr. Rajkumar and brother of actor Puneeth Rajkumar. He has worked in over 125 films in Kannada. His first onscreen appearance in a minor role in the 1968 movie Dhoomakethu. Then he appeared in the Kannada movie Sri Srinivasa Kalyana as a child artist. He is also fondly known as “Shivanna” by his fans.

Shiva Rajkumar began his film career at the age of 24, with the Kannada movie Anand (1986), for which he won the Cinema Express Award for best actor. Then he appeared in the successful films such as Samyuktha (1988), Inspector Vikram (1988), Ranaranga (1988), Aasegobba Meesegobba (1988), Om (1995), Janumada Jodi (1996), Nammoora Mandara Hoove (1996), Simhada Mari (1997), Bhoomi Thayiya Chochchala Maga (1998), A. K. 47 (1999), and Hrudaya Hrudaya (1999). In 2010, he made his television debut with the talk show Naaniruvude Nimagagi on Zee Kannada. He made his cameo appearances in the Telugu movie Gautamiputra Satakarni (2017) and in the Tamil movie Jailer (2023).

He was born on 12 July 1961 (age 64 years) to actor Rajkumar and film producer Parvathamma in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has two brothers, Raghavendra Rajkumar, a film producer, and actor Puneeth Rajkumar. And he has two sisters, Poornima and Lakshmi. He did his schooling in T. Nagar, Chennai. He graduated from The New College, Chennai. Then he joined the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute, Chennai. He is married to Geeta, the daughter of the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sarekoppa Bangarappa. The couple has two daughters, Niveditha and Nirupama.
