Prosenjit Chatterjee is an Indian actor and producer who predominantly works in the Bengali film and television industry. He also appears in Hindi films and television. He is the son of actor Biswajit Chatterjee. He entered the film industry as a child artist in the 1968 Bengali film Chotto Jigyasa . He debuted in Hindi with the movie Rahgir in 1969 as a child artist. He made his debut as a lead hero with the Bengali movie Duti Pata in 1983. He also appeared in the Hindi TV series Jubilee (2023), Scoop (2023), and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (2025).
He was born on 30 September 1962 (age 63 years) to an actor, Biswajit Chatterjee, and Ratna Chatterjee in Kolkata , West Bengal , India . Actress Shambhavi Chatterjee and Pallavi Chatterjee are his sisters. He married actress Debashree Roy in 1992, and they divorced in 1995. In 1997, he married Aparna Guhathakurta. They have a daughter named Prerona Chatterjee. Prosenjit and Aparna divorced in 2002. Then he married actress Arpita Chatterjee in 2002. They have a son, Trishanjit Chatterjee.
