Nivin Pauly is an Indian producer and actor who works in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam movie Malarvaadi Arts Club in 2010. He got his breakthrough in the romantic film Thattathin Marayathu in 2012. He made his debut as a producer with Action Hero Biju under his production company, Pauly Jr. Pictures, in 2016. He made his Tamil movie debut with the movie Richie in 2017. He is well known for his roles in Neram (2013), 1983 (2014), Ohm Shanthi Oshaana (2014), Bangalore Days (2014), Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), Premam (2015), Action Hero Biju (2016), Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), Sakhavu (2017), Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela (2017), and Kayamkulam Kochunni (2018). He was the recipient of the 2013 Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for Neram. For his roles in Bangalore Days and 1983, he was awarded the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2015. He was the recipient of the 2016 Filmfare Award for Best Actor in Malayalam for Action Hero Biju. He was the recipient of the Kerala State Film Award’s Best Actor—Special Mention for Moothon in 2020.

He was born on 11 October 1984 (age 41 years) to Pauly Bonaventure and Thressiamma Pauly in Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He graduated in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Angamaly, Kerala. He married his college sweetheart, Rinna Joy, on 28 August 2010, at St. Dominic’s Church in Aluva. They have a son, Daveed Pauly, and a daughter, Rose Treesa.
