Diljit Dosanjh is an Indian singer, songwriter, and actor who works in the Punjabi and Hindi entertainment industries. He entered the Social 50 chart by Billboard in 2020. He made his acting debut with the Punjabi movie Mel Karade Rabba in 2010. In 2016, he made his Hindi movie debut with the movie Udta Punjab, for which he got the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has also appeared as a judge in three seasons of the reality show Rising Star.
He was born on 06 January 1984 (age 42 years) to Balbir Singh, a former employee of Punjab Roadways, and Sukhwinder Kaur in Dosanjh Kalan, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He studied at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Ludhiana, Punjab.
