She was born on 30 October 1983 (age 42 years) to Kunhikkannan, a retired Army officer, and Karthiyayani in Kochi, Kerala, India. She studied at Payyanur College, Kunhimangalam, Kerala, and PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
