Rukmini Vasanth is an Indian actress, who has primarily worked in the Kannada Film industry. She made her acting debut with the Kannada movie Birbal Trilogy: Case 1 – Finding Vajramuni in 2019. Her role as Priya in the 2023 Kannada film Sapta Sagaradache Ello won her much praise from critics.
She was born on 10 December 1994 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Her father, Colonel Vasanth Venugopal, is the first Karnataka-born recipient of India’s highest military honor during peacetime, the Ashoka Chakra. In 2007, Colonel Vasanth Venugopal lost his life in battle while stopping highly armed infiltrators from entering India through Uri, Jammu & Kashmir. Her mother, Subhashini Vasanth, is a skilled Bharatanatyam dancer who established a charity to aid Karnataka’s war widows. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Bloomsbury, London.
