Rashmika Mandanna is an Indian actress who works in the Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi film Industries. She made her acting debut with the Kannada movie Kirik Party in 2016, for which she won the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actress – Kannada and the IIFA Utsavam Award for Best Actress – Kannada. She made her Telugu movie debut with the movie Chalo in 2018. The romantic movie Geetha Govindam (2018) marked a turning point in her career and won her the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
She made her Tamil movie debut with the movie Sulthan in 2021. In 2022, she made her Hindi movie debut with the movie Goodbye, for which she won the Zee Cine Awards for Best Female Debut. She is well known for her roles in Devadas (2018), Sarileru Neekevvaru (2020), Bheeshma (2020), Sulthan (2021), Pushpa: The Rise (2021), Sita Ramam (2022), Varisu (2023), and Animal (2023).
She was born on 05 April 1996 (age 30 years) to Madan Mandanna and Suman Mandanna in Virajpet, Kodagu, Karnataka, India. She has a younger sister, Shiman Mandanna. She studied at Coorg Public School, Gonikoppal, Karnataka. She completed her graduate studies in Psychology, Journalism, and English Literature from MS Ramaiah College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Bengaluru, Karnataka. On 26 February 2026, she married actor Vijay Deverakonda.
