Rakul Preet Singh, also known as Rakul Singh, is an Indian actress who works in the Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. She had four nominations for the Filmfare Awards South, and she also won a South Indian International Movie Award. She made her acting debut with the Kannada movie Gilli in 2009. In 2011, she made her Telugu movie debut with the movie Keratam and a supporting role in the Tamil movie Yuvan. She made her Tamil debut in a lead role in the movie Thadaiyara Thaakka in 2012. In 2013, she appeared in the Telugu movie Venkatadri Express. She made her Hindi movie debut with the movie Yaariyan in 2014. After that, she starred in several Tamil and Telugu movies, including Loukyam (2014), Pandaga Chesko (2015), Sarrainodu (2016), Dhruva (2016), Nannaku Prematho (2016), Rarandoi Veduka Chudham (2017), Spyder (2017), and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017).

She was born on 10 October 1990 (age 35 years) to Kulwinder Singh, a Retired Colonel in the Indian Army, and Rajender Kaur, also called Rini Singh, in New Delhi, India. She did her schooling at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, Delhi. She graduated from Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi. Her younger brother, Aman Preet Singh, is an actor. In 2021, she made his relationship with actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani official. On 21 February 2024, she married Jackky Bhagnani in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Goa.
