Akanksha Puri is an Indian actress and model who primarily appears in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada movies and a few television shows. In Vighnaharta Ganesh, she played the goddess, Parvati, for which she is well recognized. She is a contestant in Season 2 of the reality show Bigg Boss OTT Hindi. She entered in Tamil film industry through the movie Alex Pandian in 2013. Later, she made her Hindi cinema debut in the 2015 drama film Calendar Girls by Madhur Bhandarkar. She won the Swayamvar – Mika Di Vohti competition.

She was born on 26 July 1988 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Her father’s name is R.K. Puri and her mother is Chitra Puri. She did her schooling at Carmel Convent School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Then she graduated from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
