Vineeth Kumar is an Indian Film director and actor who mainly works in the Malayalam film industry. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam movie Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha in 1989 as a Child artist, for which he won the Kerala State Film Award. He made his directorial debut with the Malayalam movie Ayal Njanalla in 2015. He is well known for his roles in Bharatham (1991), Sargam (1992), Midhunam (1992), Adwaitham (1993), Devadoothan (2000), Kanmashi (2002), Sethurama Iyer CBI (2004), Vegam (2014), and Simon Daniel (2022).

He was born on 11 November 1977 (age 48 years) to Karunan and Yamuna in Pazhayangadi, Kannur, Kerala, India. He studied at a Higher Secondary School in Koodali, Kerala. He completed his BSc in Mathematics from Govt Brennen College, Thalassery, Kerala. He married Sandhya on 19 August 2010. They have two daughters, Maitreyi and Mathangi.
