Kishore Kumar G, more commonly known by his stage name Kishore, is an Indian actor who primarily performs in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu movies. In the 2013 Kannada movie Attahasa, he played the role of Veerappan, which helped him achieve prominence. For his roles in the films Ponniyin Selvan: I and Kantara and the Indian TV series The Family Man, he recently received appreciation across all of India.

He was born on August 14, 1974, in Channapatna, a town in the Karnataka State of southern India. His mother was a housewife and his father was a professor. He spent most of his school years in Kunigal, Karnataka, then went to National College in Bangalore for his college studies. He began his theater career here, performing Kannada plays like Samrata Ashoka and Teregalu. Then, at Bangalore University, he completed his master’s degree in Kannada literature. He began working as a teacher in a Bangalore college, where he spent two years, before moving on to serve as Vidyasagar’s assistant in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
