Sarath Kumar, better known by his stage name Appani Sarath or Sarath Appani, is an Indian actor who mainly appears in the Malayalam and Tamil entertainment industry. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam movie Angamaly Diaries in 2017, for which he won the South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Actor in a Negative Role – Malayalam. Then he appeared in the Malayalam movie Velipadinte Pusthakam (2017), for which he won the Vanitha Film Awards Best Newcomer Actor, Asianet Film Awards Best New Face Male, and Asiavision Awards New Sensation in acting. He debuted in Tamil with the movie Chekka Chivantha Vaanam in 2018.

He also appeared in the Tamil web series Auto Shankar in 2019 on ZEE5. He also appeared in the movies Pokkiri Simon (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Contessa (2018), Sachin (2019), and Kirkkan (2023).

He was born on 28 December 1992 (age 33 years) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He married Reshma.
