Ajmal Ameer, aka Ajmal Amir, is an Indian actor and former physician who works in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema industries. For his performances in Ko (2011) and Anjathe (2008), he has received two Filmfare Awards South. His debut film was February 14 in Tamil, as a college student, but his lead debut was in Malayalam’s Pranayakalam, opposite Vimala Raman.

He was born on 08 November 1985 (age 40 years) in Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He studied medicine at Vinnytsia National Medical University. N. I. Pirogov, Ukraine. His brothers are Askar Ali, an actor, and Abith. He is wed to Renju, and the two of them have a son and a daughter.
