Kasthuri Shankar is an Indian model and actress who works in the Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada film industries. She made her film acting debut with the Tamil movie Aatha Un Koyilile in 1991. In the same year, she debuted in Malayalam with the movie Chakravarthy. She made her debut in Telugu with the movie Gang War in 1992. She debuted in Kannada with the movie Jaana in 1994. She also appeared in Tamil and Telugu TV serials. She was a wildcard entry contestant in the third season of the Tamil reality television show Bigg Boss Tamil in 2019, having initially declined the opportunity to compete in the show in 2018.

She was born on 01 May 1974 (age 52 years) to P.S. Shankar and Sumathi Shankar, a lawyer, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She has one younger brother. She graduated from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She married Ravikumar. They have a son, Sankalp Ravikumar, and a daughter, Shobini Ravikumar.
